Sandra Tucker - Executive Manager
Sandra has a MSc in Early Childhood Studies (European Pathway) and is also a Chartered Manager. Sandra’s experience includes managing her own nursery, working as a National Pre-school Development Officer for the Scottish Executive and working as part of the Technical Expert Group on the new Childhood Practice Standard. Sandra is also employed by SQA as an External Verifier.
Debra Parker-Banfield - Senior Training Officer (Line Manager)
Debra has a level 4 Early Years Education and Care and is working towards the Childhood Practice Degree. Debra has first hand experience of managing a Childcare Centre as she also manages two centres. Debra also holds a Learning and Development SVQ.
Dorothy Cuthbert - Senior Training Officer (Modern Apprentice Co-ordinator)
Dorothy has a post-graduate certificate in Management and a level 4 Learning and Development award. Dorothy’s previous experience includes working as a Network Officer and Manager of a Childcare Community Project. Dorothy co-ordinates the HiMATS Modern Apprentice Programme.
Fran Polson
Fran has childcare qualifications and her past experiences includes setting up new provision, working in local Authority Pre-schools and Social Work. Fran also delivers relaxation classes for children.
Shirley Wiseman. Training Officer
Shirley has a PGCE and experience as a Primary and Nursery Teacher as well as lecturing in Childcare and Early Education. Shirley also teaches music.
Kath Johnston. Training Officer
Kath has a PGCE and experience of working as a Primary Teacher, a Children’s Services Worker and working in a range of services that support children’s learning.
Louise Gibson. Training Officer
Louise has a SVQ in Management level 4 and CCLD level 3. Louise has extensive knowledge of playwork from her previous work as a Playwork Development Officer. Louise also works as a Practice Development Officer for CALA and holds the Learning & Development SVQ.
Dawn Lawless. Office Manager
Dawn holds an HNC in Administration and Information Technology and as well as managing the administration of the organisation Dawn delivers the PC Passport (SQA ICT awards).
