Transitional Training for Childcare Workers
This course is desiged for anyone who is currently working in childcare and would like to know more about working with children in out-of-school settings.
If you currently work with children in out-of-school provision and would like to learn more about new theory and practice relating to children's Play in out-of-school settings, then this is the training for you. You might be a playworker, youthworker, early years worker, childminder, class-room assistant etc.
Course Outline:
- 3 full-day training sessions
- Work placement (either in own workplace or a voluntary placement)
- Tutor Mentoring Support
- HNC unit: Facilitating Playwork Opportunities
This course will contribute to SSSC post registration CPD requirements and will aid those working towards the SVQ in Playwork.
